Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a high-impact FP&A professional for an on-site Las Vegas role reporting to the CFO. You will own budgeting, forecasting, equipment ROI, and profitability analysis across live events and productions.

The position offers exposure to M&A, due diligence, and post-merger integration, with hands-on modeling and direct impact on show and tour profitability. This is a fast-paced, creative industry where data drives decisions.

Qualifications

• 2 years of FP&A or financial analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• Advanced Excel skills for complex modeling.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• M&A or deal analysis experience is a plus but not required.
• Comfortable on-site, communicating with executives, and presenting data-driven recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting and financial forecasting by building and maintaining data-driven financial models
• Prepare financial reports on event profitability, operational expenses, and cash flow projections for the executive team
• Track actual versus projected costs for live productions and identify key variances and cost-saving opportunities
• Conduct profitability analysis by event, client, and venue to inform pricing and strategic decisions
• Analyze rental versus purchase decisions for production equipment and advise on ROI and asset optimization
• Monitor equipment utilization, depreciation, and maintenance costs to improve resource allocation and returns
• Track and report key KPIs such as cost per event, revenue per equipment type, and labor efficiency
• Assist with cash flow management, financing needs, and other strategic initiatives under the CFOs direction
• Support M&A work, including financial due diligence, valuation modeling, projections, and integration support
• Collaborate closely with operations, production, and leadership to turn data into clear, actionable insights

• Detail-oriented, highly analytical, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
