Big Blue Marble Academy in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to help standardize reporting and drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis. You will partner with cross-functional teams to translate data into actionable insights and support key business decisions.

The role requires strong Excel skills, financial modeling capability, and the ability to work in a fast-growing, private-equity-backed environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of FP&A or similar role within a corporate finance environment.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Educational industry experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Position Summary The Senior Financial Planning amp; Analysis Analyst will report to the Sr. Director of FP amp;A to build out the finance function in standardizing report output and cadence, creating new analysis, and acting as a proactive partner across different functions. This role will support the strategic finance activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting that will support key business decision-making. Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and coordination of the budgeting and forecasting process, working with cross-functional teams to gather data and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Prepare the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborating with the operational leadership team in highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities
• Build and maintain sophisticated financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
• Organize and manage complex financial data to uncover key business insights and trends.
• Continuously assess and refine FP amp;A processes, procedures, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis on key business initiatives or projects as requested by management.
• Act as a trusted financial partner to functional leaders providing recommendations and solutions that support business initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in FP amp;A or similar role within a corporate finance environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting or business analytics preferred
• Educational industry experience is a plus, but not required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of Power Query, Power Pivot, and financial modeling.
• Strong ability to manage complex datasets utilized for financial reporting and analysis.
• Experience working within an entrepreneurial, high-growth, private-equity-backed company is a plus.
• Strong executive presence, comfortable and credible interfacing within executive leadership, the board of directors, and private-equity investors.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet business deadlines.
• Must have the desire and demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.
