Job summary

Titan Wealth Group is expanding through acquisitions and seeks a financial planner to deliver excellent financial planning and advisory services. You will service existing clients with holistic solutions, maintain relationships, meet revenue targets, and ensure compliance with Titan policies.

The role is hybrid, based in Birmingham with 3 days in the office and 2 days home-based, 35 hours per week, and requires the Dip. in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent).
  • Experience with Word and Excel and databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical competence across financial planning and relevant regulations.
  • Strong decision-making and analytical abilities.
  • Good time management and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver holistic financial planning solutions to private clients across the full suite of services.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and cross-sell within the Titan group.
  • Achieve revenue targets set by the regional manager and contribute to growth.
  • Provide expert independent advice compliant with regulations and Titan policies.
  • Drive sales and marketing activities aligned with local and national plans.

The role

Deliver excellent financial planning, advice, and service to clients via a desk‑based service model. You will be servicing existing clients with investable assets up to £250,000. The department of the business is leading in tech adoption to enhance planner and client experiences. A hybrid role – Birmingham – full‑time permanent (35 hours a week), 3 days a week working from the office, 2 days UK home‑based.

Responsibilities
  • A focus on new business development with proactive client contacting to convert legacy clients to our service proposition.
  • Actively engaging with and reviewing existing clients.
  • Providing holistic financial planning solutions to private clients across the full suite of services.
  • Achieving revenue targets set by the business and regional manager.
  • Proactively driving cross‑selling and referring business into other parts of the group.
  • Maintain and nurture existing client relationships, identifying and fulfilling new advice needs where appropriate.
  • Generate new client enquiries and generate advice income from these.
  • Undertake sales and marketing activity in line with local, regional, and national plans.
  • Provide expert independent advice to designated clients in compliance with relevant regulations and Titan policies and values.
  • Maintain Fit and Proper status through continuous professional development and suitable opportunities.
  • Evidence and maintain knowledge of company policies, processes and guidance.
  • Ensure that client advice and reports are compliant with company processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Use standard template documentation approved by the company.
  • Ensure technical knowledge and general industry knowledge is always maintained.
  • Deliver a positive client service experience to ensure appropriate outcomes, journey and communication.
  • Maintain speed of response/turnaround time in accordance with service standards.
  • Execute processes in compliance with all regulations, evidenced by file checks, observations, and client feedback.
  • Establish relationships with other business groups in the Titan group to achieve reciprocal business.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with external professional connections to develop additional business opportunities.
  • Use objectives to focus on key business areas.
  • Highlight personal training needs to ensure a consistent level of service is offered.
  • Keep reading and product knowledge up to date to maintain and develop quality of reports and research.
  • Perform ad‑hoc tasks as and when required, bearing in mind TCF and the needs of the business.
  • Highlight to line manager procedures & processes that do not adhere to TCF/RCR principles and suggest improvements.
  • Carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required.
  • Adhere to consumer duty.
Qualifications
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel and Databases.
  • Cash flow modelling (preferable but not essential).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical competence across all areas of financial planning.
  • Good decision‑making skills.
  • Analytical mind and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to coach and provide feedback.
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations.
  • Essential – Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent).
