  • Working knowledge of financial planning software (eMoney, Holistiplan, Orion).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze data from clients and prospects.
  • Create financial plan models, case designs, scenarios, and presentations for Wealth Advisors.
  • Prepare engagement proposals, plan reviews, and other meeting materials.
  • Apply financial planning concepts and conduct research on planning topics as needed.
  • Prepare for, participate in (as appropriate), and debrief Wealth Advisor client meetings.
  • Review and summarize client legal documents in collaboration with the Director of Financial Planning.
  • Assist with the creation of estate flows and fiduciary/directive summaries.
  • Work with Wealth Advisor on client plan implementation action items and track them in the firm’s client relationship management tool.
  • Coordinate client requests and provide technical support to Wealth Advisors.

Position

Strata Wealth Advisors is looking for a full-time Financial Planner to join our team.

Financial Planners play a vital role in this process by providing technical and analytical support to our Wealth Advisors, who lead our client relationships.

As a Financial Planner, you will work behind the scenes to gather and analyze client data, develop financial planning models, prepare proposals and presentations, and support the implementation of client strategies. You’ll collaborate closely with the Financial Planning team, Wealth Advisors, and other departments to ensure a seamless client experience.

This role offers the opportunity to strengthen your technical expertise, deepen your knowledge across all areas of wealth management, and contribute to firm-wide initiatives.

The Associate Financial Planner reports to the Director of Financial Planning.

Qualifications
  • CFP® designation preferred, or a passed CFP Exam plus Series 65 or 66 license.
  • 2–5 years of experience in financial planning or a related field that provided a strong foundation in financial planning concepts.
  • Working knowledge of financial planning software, including eMoney and Holistiplan, with the ability to develop and analyze client financial plans.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with industry software (e.g., eMoney, Holistiplan, Orion) a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex ideas.
  • Comfortable and confident communicating directly with clients, both in person and virtually.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently and accurately.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, ethics, and integrity in all interactions.
  • A collaborative mindset with a desire to learn, grow, and contribute to the long-term success of our clients and firm through the principles of IQ Compounding™.

  • Create and update charts, investment reports, and quarterly statements for reviews.
  • Assist in building and maintaining company workflows and processes.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Planning team and other teams to improve firm processes.
