Job summary

Ocean Spray Cranberries is hiring a Financial Operations Specialist to join a farmer-owned co-op focused on community and growth. You’ll support payments and equity transactions for Grower-Owners and participate in tax, governance, and reconciliation activities.

This hybrid role is based at our Lakeville, MA headquarters with Mondays and Fridays remote. A Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of experience, plus strong Office skills and confidentiality, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with agile/scrum is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Detail oriented, able to translate documents into transactions, multi-tasking and deadline driven.

Responsibilities

Position Location:

We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA with Mondays and Fridays remote.

A Day in the Life…

• Supports or executes payment related activities to Ocean Spray’s Grower-Owners.
• Supports or executes equity transactions for Ocean Spray’s Grower-Owners.
• Team participation in the preparation, issuance, and transaction reconciliations regarding tax activities, governance activities, payments and equity transactions.
• Maintain and update information related to the financial aspects of a contract.
• Responsible for timely and accurate research and response to grower‑owner inquiries including requests for financial and equity information.
• Assists with maintenance of a proprietary software application; identifies necessary updates and performs user acceptance testing.
• Engage with the Grower community to respond to inquiries, resolve issues and provide education on the cooperative model.
• Assist with accounting activities within the Grower Finance team, including reconciling cash and equity accounts.
• Learn and participate in governance and compliance functions.

What We Are Looking For:

• Excellent technical skills with strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of, or experience with the scrum process of development a plus
• Individual should possess strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational and communication skills; must have the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
• Must be results oriented with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and translate legal documents into transactional details.
• Ability to work in a multi‑tasking and time sensitive environment with the ability to prioritize own work within the overall department needs.
• Dependable, adaptable and a willingness to learn
• Display high degree of judgment, discretion and confidentiality
• Strong customer service skills

Annual Salary

$59,700 - $74,600
