  • Prepare and present financial reports, insights, and recommendations to the President and General Manager, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors in collaboration with CSUS Accounting Services
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Budgeting & Strategic Finance

  • Support fundraising and capital planning efforts through financial modeling and sustainability analysis
  • Provide strategic financial recommendations to the President and General Manager and Board of Directors
University Liaison & Systems Alignment

  • Coordinate with university financial services, including accounting, budgeting, treasury, and audit functions
  • Oversee banking relationships, investments, and capital structure managed in collaboration with CSUS
  • Align organizational activities with university systems, timelines, and compliance requirements
  • Partner with university resources to enhance financial analysis and reporting while maintaining internal ownership of outcomes
Risk & Cash Flow
  • Perform financial risk management, including analysis of liabilities, investments, and organizational exposure
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and resource allocation; provide visibility into financial sustainability
Skills, Experience And Special Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, finance, budgeting, including experience supporting organizational leadership with strategic financial recommendations
  • Experience working within complex or decentralized financial environments, including public sector, higher education or nonprofit organizations preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, internal controls, and financial analysis
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), financial compliance requirements, and audit coordination practices
  • Ability to develop collaborative working relationships across departments and with external service providers, including university financial and administrative partners
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
