The Walsh Group, Ltd. seeks a Financial Manager for its Service Group in Chicago, IL. This dual-focused role communicates directly between the accounting department and the VP, guiding financial planning and reporting across projects.

Ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience in accounting leadership, strong CMiC/MS Office skills, and the ability to travel up to 50% to support field sites and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher).
• Proficiency in CMiC preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibility at all organizational levels.
• Ability to think strategically while identifying problems and developing creative solutions.
• 50% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate P&Ls for BGL and regular reviews of issues, overhead, P&Ls, and Report Card with BGL.
• Report major issues to respective Regional Controller.
• Prepare narrative to accompany P&L/Report Card packet and business plan for BGL.
• Manage Human Capital training & development for department and jobsite staff.
• Mentor staff and encourage growth in field within the company.
• Oversee accounting involvement in claims and liaise between Legal and Accounting.
• Visit material jobs to ensure compliance and address issues.
• Represent the Company in Owner meetings and special projects.
• Design analytical reports for group and seek standardization across the company.

We are currently seeking a Financial Manager for our Service Group located in Chicago, IL. The Financial Manager is the direct line of communication between the accounting department and the Vice President.

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• 5-7 years of experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher)

• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibility and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, including executive level
• Ability to think strategically while identifying problems and developing creative solutions

Salary range $134,000 - 201,000
