Job description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for certain competitive service positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position:

Serves as the financial management advisor on matters relating to assigned portfolio activities in USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility (AOR).

Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes

• Enforcing statutory funds control limitations and fiscal compliance policies over appropriated defense funds to support real-world contingency, emergency disaster response, or joint military exercises;
• Formulating multi-million dollar operational cost models and funding agreements to track financial execution and reimbursements with joint forces or partner nations;
• Overseeing disbursing operations, cash accountability protocols, and commercial banking system interfaces to secure audit trails and resolve transaction errors in routine or austere environments.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
