The LA ANG 159th Fighter Wing is seeking a Financial Management Analyst in a National Guard Title 5 Excepted Service position. The incumbent will apply financial management, budgeting, and accounting principles to support budgeting, analysis, and decision making.

Candidates should be able to interpret laws and regulations, prepare analytical reports, and provide accurate financial information to supervisors.

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, Position Description Number T5635P02 / T5636P01 and is part of the LA ANG 159TH FIGHTER WING, National Guard.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

Must possess skill to perform, supervise, and/or manage administrative fiscal, financial management, accounting or budgetary nature; provides analytical reasoning in the identification, analysis, and evaluation of financial issues and developing alternative solutions. Involves competencies in analysis, research, writing, and judgment typically gained through academic education or progressively responsible experience; requires knowledge and skill in the application of related laws, regulations, precedents, methods and techniques of budgeting; competencies in self-management, resilience, teamwork, attention to details, creative thinking, integrity, honesty, and positive customer service skills.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

(GS 09): Do you possess at least One (1) year of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level; AND/OR at least Twenty-four (24) months experience; must have fundamental working experiences with a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. (GS 11): Do you possess at least One (1) year of specialized experiences at the GS-09 level; AND/OR at least Thirty-Six (36) months experience; must have fundamental working experiences with a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade.
