Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a data analytics professional to support financial crime investigations in Washington, DC. You will clean and analyze large datasets, apply Python/SQL-based analytics, and contribute to data-driven investigative products.

Required are an active Secret clearance, US citizenship, and at least 3 years of experience with data analytics in large environments. The role is on-site five days a week in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• ACTIVE Secret clearance is required and must be maintained.
• US Citizenship is required due to client engagements.
• Bachelor's degree in data-related field or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience cleaning, transforming, and analyzing large datasets.
• Experience with Python, SQL, and data analytics libraries.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data in large-scale environments.
• Experience with statistical analysis, ML, anomaly detection, NLP, or related methods.
• Experience querying data with relational databases and platforms like SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Hive, Spark.
• Experience creating data visualizations, dashboards, and reports.
• Ability to document methodologies and results clearly.

What You Will Do

Support financial crime investigations, enforcement matters, and data analysis initiatives by preparing, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets. Apply data science, statistical, and analytical techniques to identify trends, anomalies, patterns, and investigative leads that support anti-money laundering (AML) and illicit finance investigations. Working alongside senior investigators, analysts, and data scientists, you will contribute to analytical products, data-driven insights, and investigative support activities.

What You Will Need

• An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
• Must be a US Citizen due to nature of client engagements.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of Three(3) years of experience cleaning, transforming, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets.
• Experience using Python, SQL, and data analytics libraries to query, manipulate, and analyze data.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data in large-scale data environments.
• Experience with statistical analysis, machine learning, anomaly detection, natural language processing, or related analytical techniques.
• Experience querying and analyzing data using relational databases and data platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Hive, Spark, or similar technologies.
• Experience creating data visualizations, dashboards, reports, or other analytical products.
• Ability to document analytical methodologies and results in a clear, concise, and repeatable manner.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to work from client site in Washington, DC five(5) days a week.

What Would Be Nice To Have

• Experience supporting financial crime, fraud, regulatory, intelligence, or investigative programs.
• Experience analyzing BSA data, including SARs, CTRs, wire transfers, account activity, or other financial intelligence datasets.
• Experience performing entity resolution, link analysis, network analysis, or relationship mapping.
• Experience supporting FinCEN, Treasury, DOJ, DHS, law enforcement, regulatory, or other federal government programs.

The annual salary range for this position is $74,000.00-$124,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
