Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking an Examiner to join the Omaha-based team. You will review financial information, assess regulatory compliance, and communicate findings to senior leaders. Travel up to 30% and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires 2+ years banking industry experience related to audit, credit analysis, regulatory compliance, information security, cybersecurity, and/or asset/liability management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in applicable field, or relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel 20-30 percent of the time.
  • Ability to work out of our Omaha office.
  • Preferred: Bank examiner commission from federal or state banking regulatory agency.
  • Graduate or advanced degree in business, management, accounting, finance, economics, or management information systems.
  • Leadership experience demonstrating strong judgement, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

What are the minimum qualifications?
  • Typically requires 2+ years banking industry experience related to audit, credit analysis, regulatory compliance, information security, cybersecurity, and/or asset/liability management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in applicable field, or relevant work experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 20-30 percent of the time.
  • Effective skills using Microsoft Office products, web-based applications, and email.
  • Ability to work out of our Omaha office.
  • Preferred: Bank examiner commission from federal or state banking regulatory agency.
  • Graduate or advanced degree in business, management, accounting, finance, economics, or management information systems.
  • Leadership experience demonstrating strong judgement, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a dynamic environment.
Additional Information
How We Work
  • Onsite, full time (with 5 days per month remote work flexibility)

Salary
  • Salary: $74,800- $96,800 /Senior Assistant Examiner
  • Salary: $96,900- $125,400 /Examiner
  • Salary: $127,300- $164,800 /Senior Examiner
  • Final offers are determined by factors including the candidate’s qualifications, internal alignment considerations, district assignment, and geographic location.
Screening Requirements

This position has additional screening requirements due to the information accessed while performing the job. These additional screenings would be initiated at the time of offer acceptance and can take up to a couple of months to be completed. The candidate's start date may be impacted by completion of the screening. The areas screened may include education/employment verification, criminal history, credit history, and reference checks. In some cases, positions require access to confidential supervisory information, access to which is limited to "Protected Individuals" as defined by regulation of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, 12 CFR 268.205. Protected Individuals include, but are not limited to, U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent resident aliens (also known as "green card holders") who are eligible for and seeking United States citizenship within the requisite timeframes.
