Job summary

Safe Horizon is seeking an Economic Empowerment Specialist to support survivors of domestic violence through financial literacy and vocational training. The role involves conducting workshops, providing consultations, and maintaining partnerships with various organizations.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years in financial literacy training, strong communication skills, and sensitivity towards domestic violence issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of financial literacy training and/or financial coaching experience.
• Good oral and written communication and computer skills are necessary.
• Sensitivity to domestic violence, child and sexual abuse is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial literacy workshops for emergency shelter participants.
• Provide one-on-one consultations for financial and vocational goal setting.
• Maintain partnerships with financial institutions and job placement organizations.
• Travel between 6 shelter sites for workshop training and consultation.
