We help clients tackle complex challenges across accounting, financial reporting, transactions, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation. We blend deep technical expertise with a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach to help the world’s leading companies move forward with confidence. We are actively expanding our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice and seeking experienced professionals to lead financial due diligence engagements for private equity firms, strategic buyers, and corporate clients.

We are seeking a Manager to lead buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements. Managers oversee day-to-day engagement execution, manage client relationships, mentor Consultants, and work closely with Senior Managers and Directors to deliver actionable transaction insights throughout the deal lifecycle.

What you might expect:

  • Lead buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements for private equity firms, corporate acquirers, and strategic investors.

  • Analyze target company financial information to assess quality of earnings, quality of assets, working capital, indebtedness, cash flow, and other key transaction metrics.

  • Identify historical and projected operating trends, accounting issues, financial risks, and value creation opportunities that may impact transaction structure and valuation.

  • Review financial analyses, due diligence workpapers, client-ready reports, and executive presentations.

  • Coordinate engagement activities across client management, CFGI engagement teams, and third-party advisors throughout the transaction process.

  • Manage multiple concurrent engagements while maintaining quality, budgets, and transaction timelines.

  • Mentor Consultants through technical review, coaching, and professional development.

  • Participate in proposal development, recruiting, client relationship management, and business development initiatives.

What you must have:

  • 5-8 years of experience in public accounting, transaction advisory, consulting, corporate finance, accounting, or a related finance environment.

  • Prior financial due diligence experience, including experience performing or supporting financial analysis in connection with buy-side or sell-side transactions.

What sets you apart:

  • Experience leading buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements, including quality of earnings, working capital, debt and debt-like items, cash flow, and other transaction analyses.

  • Experience applying U.S. GAAP through audit engagements, financial reporting, or transaction advisory projects.

  • Experience reviewing client-ready financial analyses, diligence reports, and executive presentations.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, PivotTables, Power Query, Power Pivot, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex data analysis.

  • Experience with a Big 4, national accounting firm, or specialized transaction advisory practice serving private equity and strategic clients.

  • Experience managing engagement teams, client relationships, multiple workstreams, and transaction timelines in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Nice to have:

  • CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience serving private equity firms, strategic buyers, or middle-market companies.

  • Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, integration planning, or transaction execution processes.

Who thrives here:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities.

  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, adaptable, ethical, and dependable.

  • High energy with a commitment to exceptional client service while mentoring and developing junior team members.
