Are you an experienced Technical Architect with strong knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), microservices, and API architecture? We're partnering with a top-tier organization in the financial sector looking for a contractor who can take ownership of platform modernization and architectural strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Identify and define functional business domains using DDD
• Design and develop scalable APIs and microservices
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business and tech teams
• Create and maintain current/target state architecture diagrams (C4 modeling)
• Lead event storming sessions and define event-driven architecture
• Align technical domain taxonomy to business capabilities and event triggers

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in technical architecture and DDD
• Strong understanding across business, data, application, and technology layers
• Hands-on experience with Java (or another major programming language)
• Cloud platform familiarity (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Proven track record in building and scaling enterprise systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
