Job summary

SelectOne is seeking a Director of Finance in Buffalo, NY to lead accounting and finance across multiple operating companies and divisions. This hands-on leader works with ownership and a small accounting team to drive performance and integrity of financials.

Responsibilities include overseeing close processes, financial reporting, and partnering with operations to support decisions. CPA preferred; experience in logistics or service industries is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Strong technical accounting background with financial reporting, month-end close, and general accounting.

• Oversee month-end/year-end close, financial statements, P&Ls, balance sheets, and accounting controls.
• Manage core accounting functions including AP, AR, billing, and billing accuracy.
• Lead and develop the accounting team and improve processes, reporting, controls, and efficiency.
• Partner with ownership and operational leaders to understand business performance and support decision-making.
• Manage relationships with outside accounting, tax, banking, HR, and other financial partners.

This is a permanent, direct hire position.

The Director of Finance will lead the accounting and finance function across multiple operating companies, real estate entities, and business divisions. This is a hands-on leadership role working directly with ownership while overseeing a small accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting and financial reporting across multiple entities, locations, and profit centers.
• Oversee month-end/year-end close, financial statements, P&Ls, balance sheets, and accounting controls.
• Manage core accounting functions including AP, AR, billing, and billing accuracy.
