Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a distributed team of plant and site finance professionals.
• Provide financial leadership across multiple manufacturing and operating locations.
• Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Partner with senior operational leadership on financial performance and strategic decisions.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Oversee operating expenses, capital expenditures, working capital, and overall financial performance.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, production variances, freight, and other cost drivers.
• Provide financial oversight of capital projects and fixed assets.
• Support physical inventory processes and ensure accurate inventory accounting.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and reporting requirements.
• Partner with operations to identify profitability and efficiency improvements.
• Support audits and compliance initiatives.
• Drive process improvements and best practices across locations.
• Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop finance talent.
• Prepare financial analysis and executive reporting.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys being both a strategic business partner and hands-on operational leader. The position will work closely with senior executives and site leadership while leading a distributed team of finance professionals across multiple operating locations.

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• Significant leadership experience within manufacturing, industrial, or other operationally complex environments.
• Strong controllership background with experience overseeing multi-site operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting, and financial analysis.
• Experience leading and developing distributed finance teams.
• Strong understanding of plant-level financial operations and manufacturing economics.
• Experience partnering with senior operational and executive leadership.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on financial management.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• CPA or CMA is a plus.
• Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system strongly preferred.
