Job Description:
This job is responsible for the analysis and resolution of highly complex credit and tax operations processes and issues that require coordination of multiple stakeholders to resolve. Key responsibilities include adhering to defined procedures and regulatory requirements while managing projects and initiatives in support of process improvement or updates to procedures. Job expectations include supporting effective coordination across key stakeholder groups, including business controls and governance organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads end-to-end resolution of complex client issues and inquiries related to tax and credit reporting, often requiring significant research and engagement of business functional experts.
  • Conducts root cause analysis and drives solutions to address organizational challenges and initiatives.
  • Performs quality control and analytical support to ensure high performance accuracy.
  • Develops and implements new processes and procedures, and modifies existing procedures to ensure they are accurate and up to date.
  • Supports operational team projects and production of executive-level reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Identifies, facilitates, and supports process improvements, requirements, and initiatives across multiple stakeholders.

Business Description:

Consumer & Wealth Tax Operations (CWTO) is responsible for multiple tax-related functions to support IRS and State regulatory required tax reporting and withholding payments. This position primarily supports Wealth Management and is responsible for metrics tracking and reporting, procedure administration, record retention oversight, as well as support of various other initiatives. The role partners with various teams to ensure accurate capture and reporting of metrics, including metric reporting for executive leadership via Single Process Inventory, NFRR reporting, Capacity plan, and tax season updates. In addition, the role supports various other routines to ensure compliance with enterprise policies and procedures and may lead various initiatives for the department.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of financial services or operations experience.
  • Advanced Excel expertise (complex formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Proven ability to perform complex calculations and analysis of data; experience capturing and reporting metrics desired.
  • Detail oriented, ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Ability to identify and navigate resources and analyze data independently to determine appropriate actions needed.
  • Strong risk and control mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SharePoint, and other PC-based applications.
  • Self-directed, self-sufficient, strong follow-up skills, is a quick learner, thorough, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, manage multiple responsibilities and multi-task effectively.
