Michael Best is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to support financial reporting, budgeting, and analytical functions across multiple offices in Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee, or Waukesha. The role involves developing and maintaining technical reporting solutions used by Finance & Accounting.

Qualifications

• Experience with financial reporting and budgeting processes.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, validation and troubleshooting.
• Strong Excel and BI tooling skills for building reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages.
• Produce recurring and customized financial and operational reports for internal and external requests.
• Support development of the annual budget by gathering assumptions and building budget models.
• Assist with forecasts, budget-to-actual reporting, variance analysis, and inquiries from budget owners.
• Analyze general ledger, revenue, and expenses; investigate variances and reconcile results.
• Write and execute SQL queries to extract and analyze financial data.
