About This Opportunity

The International Financial Data Analyst I acts as a liaison between international merchants, the account team, and the Financial Data team. Responsibilities include performing timely and accurate transaction reconciliations, managing relationships with third-party accounting firms (e.g., Ernst & Young), and coordinating meetings with merchants. The role involves owning the financial relationship with assigned merchants and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze internal and external data, maintaining data integrity, and linking data to financial transactions (datasets often exceeding a million records).
  • Use Excel or other tools to compare data sets.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to verify statuses, pricing, and ensure accurate invoicing and remittances.
  • Collaborate with Ernst & Young to record adjustments accurately and reflect balances properly.
  • Assist in reconciling merchant promotions.
  • Communicate with external parties to gather accurate data, providing them with necessary information to resolve setup issues and minimize discrepancies.
  • Build cases to confirm data accuracy, present findings clearly, and collect amounts owed to InComm.
  • Understand transactional data flows between InComm and merchants, identifying trends for account monitoring.
  • Prepare settlement files with third parties and communicate settlement amounts.
  • Generate weekly/monthly reports on merchant aging and accounts receivable.
  • Participate in merchant program reviews to resolve pricing discrepancies.
  • Manage new merchant/product launches through coordination and internal collaboration.
  • Oversee all pay-on-invoice accounts for InComm Mexico merchants.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) required, with 1.5 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Experience working with large data sets (minimum 250,000 rows).
  • Self-directed, able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Hands-on approach, eager to delve into details.
  • Curious about operational processes.
  • Effective communicator at all organizational levels, both internal and external.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and pattern recognition skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, with familiarity with Access and Oracle a plus.
  • Knowledge of database management and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Multilingual skills are required for international roles.
