Job summary

Associated Bank is seeking a Financial Intelligence Analyst to identify and document potentially suspicious activity across customer accounts. You will analyze transactions, support regulatory compliance, and help protect the bank by spotting financial crime risks.

You will prepare case narratives, assist with SAR reporting, monitor trends, and contribute to risk-mitigation initiatives while using analytical tools.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in risk, compliance, audit, banking, business or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in risk, compliance, audit, banking, business, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Investigate unusual or suspicious activity using reports, databases and systems.
• Analyze customer and transactional data to detect irregular activity and risks.
• Document suspicious activity patterns and escalate when needed.
• Prepare detailed case documentation and investigative narratives in the case management system.
• Complete regulatory reporting requirements, including SARs when necessary.
• Support compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor customer/account information, identify trends, and assist with research and reporting.
• Contribute to metrics development, testing, reporting, threshold analysis and system tuning.
