Role Summary

Spring's Financial Counselors assist patients with treatment estimates and collaborate with external parties to ensure financial coverage. They explain financial information, determine insurance coverage, and educate patients on their financial options, working independently.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing treatment estimates to patients and healthcare providers.
2. Collecting estimated liabilities and applying payments to accounts.
3. Understanding and communicating insurance coverage and benefit limits.
4. Communicating financial statuses and resolving account issues.
5. Initiating prior authorization requests.
6. Ensuring reimbursement for uninsured or under-insured patients.
7. Minimizing financial risks through daily account reviews.
8. Serving as a resource for registration errors and insurance documentation issues.

Education and Skills

• Bachelor's degree.
• 2+ years of experience in fertility or healthcare.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office and electronic medical records.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Flexible availability, including some weekends and holidays.

Employment Details

This is a full-time, remote, non-exempt position working PST hours, 40 hours/week.

Compensation

Salary range: $61,000 - $68,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Must reside in specified states for remote work eligibility.
