Responsibilities

The Financial Counselor participates in the admission process by responding to inquiries regarding the facility, insurance verification, financial counseling, patient admission, and data entry of all demographic information necessary to appropriately conclude the admission process. Review, analyze and facilitate self-pay collection efforts.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Performs insurance verifications
  2. Provides adequate financial counseling to parents/guardians relating to self-pay and/or co-pay of account balances.
  3. Data entry
  4. Demonstrates an ability to communicate effectively and express ideas clearly; actively listens, follows appropriate channels of communication.
  5. Maintains and ensures patient confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications
