Job summary

BMW Manufacturing Company in Spartanburg invites applications for a Financial Controlling Intern for Spring 2027. You will support the Controlling Department with analysis, reporting, and steering activities in a manufacturing finance context, and help create reports and presentations for financial transparency and decision making.

You will gain hands-on experience in forecast reporting, monthly controlling, and project coordination while contributing to cost analyses and process improvements

Qualifications

  • Pursuing undergraduate business-related degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical and critical thinking.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Full-time on-site work availability (40 hours/week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • Must attach a copy of unofficial transcript.
  • Work term dates: January 11 – May 14, 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Support Controlling Department in Analysis, Reporting, and Steering.
  • Exposure to financial reporting, analysis, and steering.
  • Create reports and presentations to ensure financial transparency and decision making.
  • Analyze technology costs to support controlling group.
  • Support regular forecast reporting and forecast evaluation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Financial controlling intern Spring 2027

Description:

  • The Controlling Intern will be support of Controlling Department in Analysis, Reporting, and Steering. Exposure to manufacturing finance environment.
  • Exposure to Financial reporting, Analysis and Steering.
  • Supports Controlling group with requisition steering, creation of reports and presentations to ensure financial transparency and decision making.
  • Analyses technology costs to support controlling group.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Support Controlling of Plant Spartanburg Departments and Technologies.
  • Support regular forecast reporting.
  • Forecast Evaluation.
  • Monthly Controlling
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute to improvements in the following functions:

  • Conduct research and conceptualize new ideas.
  • Support project management and coordination of plans for related projects.
  • Coordinate and support focused, community-based events and initiatives.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret information to evaluate the landscape against business strategies.
  • Stay abreast of best practices and recommend relevant initiatives for activities and actions.
  • Provide regular input on enhancing processes and practices.
  • Support the organization’s vision, strategy, priorities, and roadmap.
  • Partner with stakeholders to enable successful prioritization, development, delivery, and adoption of program goals.
  • Create PowerPoint slide decks for presentations and support preparation for meetings.
  • Participate in project team meetings.
  • Schedule the use of meeting room facilities on an as-needed basis.
  • Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned by project team members.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing undergraduate business-related degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical and critical thinking.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE January 11th - May 14th, 2027.
