The Washington Post is seeking a Financial Controller to lead global accounting, governance, and systems transformation for a privately held media company. You will balance hands-on execution with enterprise leadership, shaping how accounting operates across the organization.

You will drive strategic financial leadership, oversee reporting, controls, and ERP migrations, and coach a high-performing global team in a rapidly evolving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA designation preferred; significant leadership experience in accounting/finance.
• 10+ years progressive accounting/financial management with senior leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in media, advertising, or related industries.
• Experience leading ERP evaluations and migrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead global accounting operations, close, consolidation, and statutory reporting.
• Own worldwide consolidation and end-to-end accounting close process.
• Redesign controllership structure and modernize processes and systems.
• Manage ERP evaluation, migration, and future-state system design.
• Ensure strong internal controls and external audit coordination.
