Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with manufacturing exposure.
Knowledge of GAAP and cost control principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
10+ years of progressively responsible experience in a major company or division.

Responsibilities

Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting procedures and controls.
Classify, summarize and record financial transactions per GAAP.
Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable management.
Prepare and review revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other documents.
Manage the monthly close process including journal entries.
Prepare reconciliations and research variances with detailed schedules.
Analyze monthly results and variances.
Record monthly and year-end accruals; assist in budgets and audit schedules.
Assist in annual financial reports and external audits.
Support the preparation of annual budget.
Manage Fixed Asset reporting and property tax filings.
Monitor production and expense transactions for accuracy.
Assist with annual inventory processes.

Job Description:

This position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.

What will my responsibilities include?

Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
Classifies, summarizes and records financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Oversee the management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Prepare and review revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
Manage the monthly close process including preparation of journal entries.
Prepare account reconciliations. Identify and research variances. Prepare detailed support schedules.
Analysis of monthly results and variances
Record all monthly and year-end accruals
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
Prepare various quarterly and annual tax returns.
Prepare year-end audit schedules and assist with the annual external audit.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
Fixed Asset management and reporting.
Property Tax filings and reporting.
Monitor production and expense transactions and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
Assist with annual physical inventory process.
Other duties as assigned.

10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.

Physical Demands and Work Environmnet:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 35% of the time. This position may be required to enter the warehouse and/or machine shop environment at times throughout the work day; this environment may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes and vapor from coolant, etc. This position is part of a team and requires excellent communication skills. It is fast-paced with daily deadlines. This position requires the ability to use computer keyboard and mouse, multi-line phone and various other office machines and equipment. Salary Offering:

$115,960.00 to $155,000.00 annually
