Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

We are seeking a strategic Financial Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial reporting. While the primary focus of this role (90%) is on finance and accounting, the position also includes limited support for HR-related administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional seeking to take ownership of financial management while contributing to operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting:

• Manage daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, GL, and revenue recognition
• Prepare timely, accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with corporate reporting standards and applicable accounting regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
• Maintain and strengthen internal control systems, policies, and procedures
• Monitor financial performance and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership
• Coordinate year-end audits and support tax filings with external partners
• Mentor and manage accounting staff; support team development and performance
• Drive process improvements and optimize use of financial systems and tools

HR Support:

• Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate payroll processing
• Maintain employee records in line with company policies and legal requirements
• Assist with onboarding of new hires and provide basic support for HR documentation and compliance
• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, or general HR policies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA a plus)
• 5–7 years of accounting with minimum three (3) years’ financial leadership experience
• Solid understanding of GAAP and IFRS regulatory requirements
• Knowledge of international currency to equate with US currency
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
• Experience with ERP and financial systems; familiarity with HRIS and Sage 500 a plus
• Strong proficiency with Advanced MS Excel and MS Office Suite of Programs
