Divisional Financial Controller – Newly acquired companies Position Summary

We are seeking a highly driven Divisional Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of newly acquired companies within our group portfolio. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader who can establish structure, drive compliance, and deliver actionable insights in environments with limited existing accounting resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of all financial reporting for newly acquired entities, ensuring accurate and timely monthly reporting.
  • Map financial results into group reporting systems and provide variance analyses, KPIs, and actionable recommendations.
  • Assist with US GAAP purchase accounting entries, opening balance sheet, closing statement adjustments.
  • Build financial infrastructure and reporting capabilities for businesses with limited in-house finance resources.
  • Ensure smooth transition of accounting systems, processes, and reporting into the group’s M&A post-acquisition integration team.
  • Support synergy tracking, cost savings initiatives, and financial due diligence for future acquisitions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, balancing detail-oriented oversight with strategic financial guidance

Qualifications:

This is an extraordinary opportunity for someone with 7-10 years of accounting and finance experience as either an Accounting Manager or Financial Controller role. Other qualifications include:

  • A proactive, hands-on strategic thinker who will own, in partnership with the Corporate team
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP) and experience in building controls and processes from the ground up.
  • Proven track record of managing newly acquired entities and managing change in resource-constrained environments.
  • Hands-on approach, with a willingness to roll up sleeves and directly manage transactional accounting when necessary.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP system skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

  • Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which allow strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data
  • Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers
