Building Blocks Facades is redefining architecture through cutting-edge Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC), Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) and glass façade systems. Our work bridges the gap between architectural concept to full execution—delivering iconic, bespoke façades for landmark projects across the U.S. and internationally. We merge advanced material science with digital design and fabrication to push the boundaries of possibility in architectural facades.

The Financial Controller plays a key leadership role in driving the financial health, integrity, and strategic scalability of Building Blocks. This role oversees all accounting and finance operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and performance insight across the organization. It requires strong operational acumen with proven process maturity and rigorous execution.You will act as a strategic business partner to leadership— providing financial clarity, enabling data-driven decision-making, and supporting our continued growth trajectory.

As the Financial Controller, you will lead and optimize financial processes across reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance while maintaining an agile, high performance finance function aligned with Building Blocks’ vision and pace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership & Strategy
    • Partner with executive leadership to align financial strategy with company objectives.
    • Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic initiatives.
    • Develop scalable systems for budgeting, cost control, and performance monitoring.
  • Accounting & Reporting
    • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reports.
    • Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain a robust internal control framework to safeguard assets and mitigate risk.
  • Operational Finance
    • Streamline financial processes to enhance speed and data accuracy.
    • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and cash management operations.
    • Support project-based accounting for large-scale façade contracts and installations.
  • Business Partnering
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Projects, and People teams.
    • Translate financial insights into actionable recommendations for business leaders.
    • Train managers in budget ownership and financial literacy.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
    • Ensure timely filings, audits, and adherence to statutory obligations.
    • Evaluate and strengthen financial risk management practices.
    • Drive adoption of financial technology tools for automation and transparency.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years in accounting or financial management roles, including 3+ years in leadership.
