What Makes This Position Different

This is not a Controller position in which the individual simply supervises bookkeeping and produces month-end statements. TECI is an equipment-intensive, self-performing construction company, and we expect our Controller to understand the relationship between the accounting records and what is actually happening on our projects.

The successful candidate should be interested in understanding why a project's margin changed, why equipment costs increased, why receivables are aging, why cash flow differs from reported earnings, and whether the company's financial information accurately reflects operating performance.

The Controller will have meaningful access to senior management and an opportunity to help strengthen the company's accounting systems, reporting, controls, and financial decision-making.
