A growing international manufacturing organization is hiring a hands-on Financial Controller to lead its U.S. accounting function during a period of integration, relocation, and continued expansion.
This is a highly visible opportunity for someone who enjoys owning the day-to-day accounting operation while also improving processes, strengthening controls, and building a finance function that can scale with the business.
The organization manufactures sophisticated capital equipment and automation solutions for major industrial customers. The Controller will partner closely with U.S. and global leadership and will have direct exposure to an international parent organization.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- U.S. and consolidated financial statements
- IFRS and global management reporting
- Forecasting, financial analysis, and operational reporting
- General ledger, account reconciliations, and banking activity
- Accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, collections, and payroll oversight
- Internal controls, accounting procedures, and process improvements
- External audit coordination and preparation of audit schedules and financial statement footnotes
- Sales tax, activity tax, GST/HST, estimated tax payments, and other regulatory filings
- Margin analysis and financial partnership with operational teams
- Accounting support for multiple North American entities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Manufacturing experience, ideally within capital equipment, industrial machinery, or a project-based environment
- Strong SAP experience
- Solid knowledge of U.S. accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with payroll, benefits administration, and general ledger maintenance
- Advanced Excel skills
- Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
- Ability to operate independently while partnering effectively across departments
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and follow-through
