Qualifications

  • 8-10 years experience in Finance or Accounting required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' Financial Controller experience.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced FinancialController, eager to make an impact and serve ina critical role with a growing company. OurFinancialControllerwill be responsible for managing and overseeing theCompany’s financial activities, including financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, and compliance.As a key member of the leadership team, the FinancialControllerplays a pivotal role in shaping the financial health and long-term strategy of the Company.

The Breakdown
  • Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting,financial analysis, and cash flow management.
  • Own the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Deliver financial reports and insights to executive leadership and stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working cross-functionally with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide recommendations for operational improvements and cost efficiencies.
  • Develop scenario models, cost analysis reports, and track performance metrics to inform leadership decisions.
  • Direct accounting functions, banking, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the Accounting team.
  • Direct the optimization of financial systems and tools to support business growth, scalability and data accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Financerequired.CPA highly preferred.
  • Experience:8-10years of progressively responsible experience in Finance or Accounting required, with a minimum of 5 years'Financial Controller experience. Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial close processes, and general ledger oversight.
  • Leadership:Excellent communication and leadership skills. EOS experience a plus.
  • Technology Proficiency:Strong software skills. Advanced in MS Excel required. Proficiency in QuickBooks online preferred.
  • Analytical & Organizational Skills:Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and project management skills.Technical ability in strategic and financial planning.

Salary dependent upon related experience and education. This position will be located at our Waco or College Station, TX office. We are also open to remote candidates in Texas only.
