• Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in management accounts and financial reporting.

Responsabilidades

We are partnered with a growing organisation looking to appoint a hands-on Financial Controller with experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

This opportunity would suit an experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial reporting, month-end processes and financial controls. Experience in cost accounting, product costing or margin analysis would be beneficial, particularly within a manufacturing, distribution or product-based environment.

You will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust controls and providing meaningful insights to support business performance and decision-making. You will also play a key role in improving financial processes, optimising the use of Business Central and supporting the organisation's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Manage month-end and year-end processes, including management accounts, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and financial performance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Analyse costs, margins and financial performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support cost accounting, product costing and inventory valuation where applicable.
• Maximise the use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, improving financial reporting, processes and system efficiency.
• Work with senior stakeholders to provide financial insights and support commercial decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and strengthen internal controls.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar senior finance role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience preparing management accounts and financial reports.
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Good understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting.
• Cost accounting, product costing or margin analysis experience would be advantageous.
• Experience in a manufacturing, distribution or product-based environment would be beneficial.
• Strong Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with strong communication and organisational skills.
• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification would be advantageous.

We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional who can take ownership of the finance function, improve reporting and processes, and support the business as it continues to grow. Business Central experience is particularly important, while knowledge of cost accounting would be a valuable addition.
