Job summary

Goodwill Keystone Area is seeking a Financial & Community Education Coach to deliver workshops and provide coaching across the territory. You will train participants in financial literacy, employment readiness, digital skills, and life skills while traveling to partner sites and events.

You will serve as an educator, mentor, and community representative, delivering high-quality programs to empower individuals and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus relevant experience.
• Experience teaching or coaching adults preferred.
• Experience with diverse populations and community-based programming preferred.
• Experience in financial education, workforce development, or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops on financial literacy, employment readiness, workforce development, digital literacy, AI, entrepreneurship and other life skills.
• Provide individualized coaching to help participants set goals and action plans.
• Deliver programming at partner locations across the Goodwill Keystone Area territory.
• Travel four days per week for workshops, coaching, outreach and partner meetings.
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners to expand opportunities.
• Adapt instruction for diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
• Develop and update curriculum and participant resources.
• Use technology for presentations, virtual instruction, documentation, and reporting.
• Monitor participant progress and collect outcomes data.
• Represent Goodwill at events and outreach opportunities.
• Stay informed on trends in financial education and workforce development.
• Promote a safe, welcoming learning environment.

Summary

The Financial and Community Education Coach delivers engaging educational workshops, training, and individualized coaching that equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to achieve greater financial stability, career success, and digital confidence. This position provides instruction in financial literacy, employment readiness, workforce development, digital literacy, technology, entrepreneurship, and other life skills through partnerships with community organizations across the Goodwill Keystone Area territory. The Literacy Coach serves as an educator, mentor, and community representative while traveling throughout the region to deliver high-quality educational programming that empowers individuals and families to thrive.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging workshops and educational programs focused on financial literacy, employment readiness, workforce development, digital literacy, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and other life skills.
• Provide individualized coaching to help participants identify goals, overcome barriers, and develop practical action plans for financial stability, employment, education, and personal growth.
• Deliver educational programming at community partner locations, schools, correctional facilities, shelters, workforce agencies, Goodwill locations, and other community organizations throughout the Goodwill Keystone Area.
• Travel four days per week throughout the assigned service territory to conduct workshops, coaching sessions, outreach events, and partner meetings.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners to expand educational opportunities and strengthen community impact.
• Adapt instructional methods and curriculum to meet the needs of participants with diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and experience levels.
• Assist in developing, updating, and enhancing curriculum, educational materials, and participant resources based on community needs and emerging best practices.
• Utilize technology to facilitate presentations, virtual instruction, participant engagement, documentation, reporting, and communication.

• Monitor participant progress Data Tracks case management software to maintain accurate documentation, and assist with collecting program outcomes and performance metrics.
• Represent Goodwill Keystone Area at community events, resource fairs, partner meetings, and outreach opportunities.
• Stay informed of trends and best practices in financial education, workforce development, digital literacy, technology, adult learning, and community education.
• Promote a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment.
• Contributes to the organization by supporting additional tasks and projects as needed.
• Promotes an environment of workplace safety. Ensures that duties are performed in a safe manner and safety requirements are adhered to.
• Communicates progress, problems, and concerns to the Director of Wisdom Opportunity Wealth (WoW)

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business, Finance, Human Services, Workforce Development, Communications or relevant field; or Associates Degree in Education, Business, Finance, Human Services, Workforce Development, Communications with two (2) years' experience in the relevant field; or High School diploma or GED equivalent and four (4) years' relevant experience which enables the individual to meet the standards and expectations of the position.
• Experience teaching, facilitating, coaching, or training adult learners preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations and community-based programming preferred.
• Experience in financial education, workforce development, employment services, adult education, or related fields preferred.

• Ability to communicate complex topics in a practical, engaging, and easy-to-understand manner.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, virtual meeting platforms, educational technology, and AI productivity tools.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying skill levels.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and satisfactorily complete a motor vehicle check on an annual basis.
• Ability to travel within Goodwill Keystone Area territory.
• Must complete and successfully pass Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Clearance and FBI Clearance.
