Qualifications

• CWIC certification required or able to obtain within 90 days.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years related experience or Associate degree plus 3+ years; or 4+ years related experience.
• Experience working with adults with disabilities preferred.
• English/Spanish bilingual preferred.
• Must pass credit and Social Security background checks.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation; active driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial coaching on credit, debt, budgeting, savings.
• Assist participants to develop personal financial plans and goals.
• Provide SSA benefits counseling and SSA work incentives planning.
• Document customer information daily in databases and submit progress reports.
• Build community relationships for outreach and inform about available services.
• Deliver program orientations, Mind Over Money and SSA workshops.
• Refer participants to community or financial agencies for services.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.Serve as a resource to all staff members, consumers and stakeholders. Complete financial health assessments with customers. Track and meet monthly and annual program service targets.Conduct individual financial coaching on topics such as credit and debt management. Assist participants to develop a personal financial plan to meet their financial goals. savings, and budgeting. Assist and empower customer to identify and assess their personal financial needsProvide, as applicable, individual SSA (Social Security Administration) benefits counseling and planning. Assist and empower customer to understand their SSA disability benefits and relatedEnsure that all customer information is documented in the database(s) on a daily basis. Set aside time each day and week to ensure all data is current and complete. Develop and submit monthly progress reports, as directed.Build relationships in the community to create opportunities for outreach and inform the community of services available.Additional ResponsibilitiesParticipate in financial coaching training programs offered by stand By Me.Develop competency to deliver program related presentations, including but not limited to: program orientations, Mind Over Money and Social Security Benefits workshops.Facilitate financial education workshops.Facilitate Social Security Work Incentive education workshops.Maintain follow-up contact on progress toward goals during coaching sessions.Refer participants to community or financial agencies to obtain services outlined in financial plans.Represent the Finance Ability Program in various community forums and conduct program presentations.Contribute to the Rehab department outcomes including participation in team and staff meetings.Perform other responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)Current CWIC (Certified Work Incentives Counselor) certification required, or the ability to obtain certification within ninety (90) days of hire.Bachelor’s degree plus minimum two years of related job experience, associate degree plus minimum three years of related job experience, or minimum four years of related experience requiredExperience working with adults with a wide range of disabilities required.English/Spanish bilingual preferred.Must pass a a credit check.Ability to pass Social Security background check.Ability to obtain Personal Financial Coaching Certification. Certified Work Incentives Counselor (or be in the process of obtaining certification within (90) days of hire).Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel required.
