Job summary

First Community Credit Union in Beloit, WI is seeking a Financial Clerk to support accounting duties and member services. The role involves handling daily tasks such as wire transfers, ACH, GL entries, and card-related activities, while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

You will assist with internet banking tasks, respond to member inquiries, perform month-end reconciliations, and back up accounts payable as needed. Training and benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication with members and coworkers to resolve issues.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily duties.
• Experience in a financial institution is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process daily work including exception item handling, wire transfers, GL entries, ACH, balance daily teller work.
• Run various reports to assist with daily duties.
• Card related activities, including card printing, review transactions with members, and dealing with debit card disputes/suspected fraud.
• Assist with internet banking tasks such as bill payment, e-statements, and mobile check deposit; approve access and disable service when needed.
• Take member questions via phone or messages through internet banking.
• Month end account reconciliations.
• Back up duties including accounts payable.
• Assist with information for audits and regulatory requirements.
• Continue ongoing training to stay up to date on rules and regulations.
