The incumbent will be responsible for obtaining and verifying necessary demographic and insurance information, including authorization/referrals/notifications (diagnostic, surgical, therapy, admissions/observations, and other procedures/treatments). Responsible for scheduling patients' appointments/procedures (initial, follow-up, and/or add-on), as applicable. This position requires working in a call center environment and meeting individual quality metrics (e.g., productivity, accuracy, customer service QA). The role involves coordinating patient flow, ensuring timely processing, and maintaining knowledge of practices used within the department, physician practice, or hospital to address patient questions or concerns. The incumbent must be knowledgeable about insurance requirements, Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF) pricing, financial assistance options, and overall BHSF Revenue Cycle operations.
