• Screens designated patients for Medical Assistance prior to FAP approval.
• Determines patient responsibility and communicates financial options clearly to patients.

Collaborates with other departments, offices, and application specialists daily. Processes financial assistance applications, posts payments, creates estimates, account reconciliation process, and weekly and monthly productivity reports.Job DutiesReceives/processes FAP requests according to LVHN policy. Denies, approves, and pends applications assigning a reason (if applicable).Documents all patient accounts accurately with supporting details regarding financial assistance and financial responsibility.Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the federal guidelines published by the Department of Health and Human Services to identify and determine patient eligibility for Financial Assistance Program (FAP).Ensures all designated patients are screened for Medical Assistance prior to FAP approval.Determines patient responsibility on referred accounts.
