Job summary

Spencer Savings Bank is seeking a Financial Center Service Representative (FCSR) in Saddle Brook, NJ. You will process a range of banking transactions, manage a cash drawer, and engage clients to identify needs and referrals while maintaining a high level of service.

You will also assist with end-of-day proof tasks and support the Assistant Financial Center Manager. A flexible schedule and potential branch travel are noted as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months - 2 years in a retail sales/service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate teller window to process deposits, withdrawals, payments, cashing checks, and cashier’s checks.
• Maintain accurate cash drawer and balance at end of shift.
• Engage clients during transactions to identify needs and refer to the platform for fulfillment.
• Adhere to bank compliance and operational policies and procedures.
• Complete required paperwork (CTRs, SARs) accurately and timely.
• Support end-of-day branch proof tasks including ATM and vault.
• Represent Spencer Savings Bank professionally at all times.
• May travel to other branches and participate in community events.

Job description

Financial Center Service Representative (FCSR) is responsible for processing a variety of financial transactions including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits and loan payments. This position is responsible for managing and balancing a cash drawer and preparing daily paperwork according to branch procedures. The FCSR is responsible for engaging clients during their transaction to identify any customer needs and refer them over to the platform for fulfillment. The FCSR is responsible for providing an extraordinary customer experience by executing Spencer’s customer service behaviors with every client interaction. They also assist the Assistant Financial Center Manager with teller line and end of day proof functions. Works under general supervision.

Major Responsibilities

• Operates a teller window to process all types of banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, buy/sell cash and cashier’s checks
• Responsible for providing a consistent extraordinary client experience by executing on Spencer’s customer service behaviors
• Researches and resolves all transaction errors that occur and engages management support when needed
• Executes the internal sales process by engaging the customer in conversation during the customer transaction to identify needs and refers them to the platform
• Operates within the confines of the bank’s compliance and operational policy and procedures
• Diligently completes all necessary paperwork such as CTRs, SARs etc… accurately and in a timely manner
• Assists Assistant Financial Center Manager with end-of-day branch proof tasks including ATM and Vault
• Participates in internal and external branch events as well as local community events
• Must be able to work a flexible hourly schedule as requested
• May be asked to travel & work at other branches in the network

• Opens and/or closes branch with management
• Perform other duties as required
