Job summary

Aleut Federal is hiring a Financial/Budget Analyst to support government contracts in our Reston or Arlington, Virginia offices. The candidate will work in the office for this hybrid position at least 2 to 3 days a week.

The role will focus on financial reporting, program control, and contract budgeting, with responsibilities spanning AR reconciliation, month-end close, audits, and ensuring accurate reporting. Deltek Costpoint experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete financial reporting and contract budgeting for government contracts.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and prepare weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Monitor funding status and manage project costs and revenue.
• Prepare CDLRs and ensure timely customer deliverables.
• Review invoices and monitor DSO and billing status.
• Maintain project tracking spreadsheets.

Position Summary:

Aleut Federal is hiring a Financial/Budget Analyst to support government contracts in our Reston or Arlington, Virginia, offices. The candidate will work in the office for this hybrid position at least 2 to 3 days a week.

Position Functions:

• Responsible for financial reporting, program/project control functions, and contract budgeting.
• Work with financial analysts, project management, and contract personnel to manage contract financial performance.
• Reconcile accounts receivable, compile weekly and monthly financial progress reports, and support audit data calls and month-end close.
• Familiarity with financial management, budgeting, project control, financial reporting, and basic contract administration in a government services contract environment.
• Ensure program costs are collected correctly by maintaining active charge numbers, monitoring actual charges, and processing transfers when appropriate.
• Measure performance against established budgets and analyze variances.
• Carefully monitor program revenue and profit recognition to minimize risk to the entire organization.
• Analyze revenue and profit risks and opportunities on an ongoing basis.
• Perform financial duties such as preparing month-end revenue adjustments and accruals, reviewing hours and costs, understanding indirect rate applications, establishing and managing projects in the accounting system, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain Project Tracking Spreadsheets and related documentation.
• Monitor funding status, providing reliable and timely notification of funding status with line item detail.
• Prepare financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRL) for programs.
• Ensure contractual requirements are met, and Customer financial deliverables are accurate and timely.
• Review and approve invoices for submission to customers.
• Monitor billing status and unbilled issues and work to resolve the problems on time to manage DSO.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint.

Salary Range $100K-$110K
