Job summary

NPA WorldWide is seeking a Financial Auditor in Buffalo, NY to join the Audit department and contribute to internal controls, SOX compliance, and process improvements. This role offers hybrid work with in-office days required as training completes.

The ideal candidate has a CPA or CIA preferred, 5+ years in public accounting or audit, and strong communication skills to support cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Working knowledge of accounting/auditing principles and practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
• CPA or CIA (preferred, not required).
• Experience with data analytics.
• 5+ years of public accounting or audit experience.

Responsibilities

• Examine, evaluate, and document the effectiveness of internal controls and operating procedures.
• Monitor internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with the Sarbanes‑Oxley Act (SOX).
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, improve processes, and ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Participate in special projects and provide audit-related consulting support.
