We are seeking to hire a Financial Auditor (Governmental Auditor 2) to join our Office of Developmental Disabilities Services (ODDS), on the Provider Administration Unit (PAU) team. Vanessa Richkind is the manager, and this will be remote work model.

Summary of Duties
As a Financial Auditor, you will:
Review annual community-based ODDS provider, case management entities, and contractors’ financial, review and audit reports, to analyze financial health and evaluate compliance with contract language.
Review annual staffing data from community-based certified agency providers.
Review and analyze other financial reports, such as bank statements and tax returns.
Communicate with and educate providers, Case Management Entities, contractors, and other partners in the review process.
Report to lead and/or management any concerns discovered in audits, reports and/or other communications with providers.
Make oral and written presentations to management discussing deficiencies, recommending corrective action, and suggesting improvements in internal controls, operations, and cost-effective measures.
Assist in the development of corrective action plans.
Minimum Qualifications
A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.
A bachelor's degree in a business-related field, such as accounting, business administration, public administration, finance, economics, computer science, etc., AND two years of auditing experience.
Twenty quarter hours of college courses in a business or financial field such as the areas listed above AND two additional years of auditing experience may substitute for the degree.
Successful completion of the duties and training as an Oregon Governmental Auditor (Entry) will substitute for one year of auditing experience.
Essential Attributes
We are looking for candidates with experience:
Ensuring all individuals regardless of their cultures, identities, and backgrounds are valued.
Reviewing financial statements and reports to ensure they meet state and federal rules and regulations, as required.
Account analysis, reconciliation methods, flowcharting, and work paper preparation.
Performing risk analysis for evaluation of management’s internal controls.
Utilizing generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), as well as an understanding of other non-GAAP accounting methods.
Conducting confidential and/or specialized investigations (e.g., healthcare fraud, financial fraud) is preferred.
Using advanced level Microsoft Excel or a comparable electronic spreadsheets software.
Producing highly professional written and verbal communication and presentations.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in a highly visible, professional office environment or remotely. Work may require irregular hours (i.e., weekends; holidays; nights). In and out of state travel for job-related purposes may be required. This position may be performed in an office setting or remote only if a separate secure location with locking door is available due to the confidential nature of this work.
