Job summary

Vensure Employer Solutions is seeking an Accountant with strong auditing and attestation background to focus on financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations from our Philadelphia-area office. The role emphasizes analytical review and control evaluation rather than tax work.

The ideal candidate has a CPA-eligible background, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years in external audit, and deep knowledge of US GAAP/GAAS. Local presence in Chester County, PA is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA eligibility a plus).
• 3+ years of external audit, assurance, or attestation experience (public accounting background preferred).
• Preference for financial statement evaluation over tax preparation.
• Must be local to Chester County, PA and able to work daily from our office.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and GAAS.

Responsibilities

• Execute financial statement audits, reviews, and attestation services for small-to-medium‑sized businesses.
• Evaluate client internal control systems, identify risk areas, and ensure GAAP alignment of financial statements.
• Perform detailed substantive testing, analytical reviews, and verification of financial documentation.
• Draft clear, comprehensive financial statements, disclosures, and audit reports for management and owners.
• Collaborate with clients to request documentation, clarify anomalies, and guide them through the audit process.

We are expanding our assurance services and looking for an Accountant with a strong background in financial auditing and attestation. Unlike traditional accounting roles, this position focuses primarily on financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, rather than tax preparation. The ideal candidate is analytical, possesses a sharp eye for financial data, and is excited to help build and maintain our assurance pipeline right here from our Philadelphia office.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute financial statement audits, reviews, and attestation services for a variety of small-to-medium‑sized businesses.
• Evaluate client internal control systems, identify risk areas, and ensure all financial statements align with GAAP requirements.
• Perform detailed substantive testing, analytical reviews, and verification of financial documentation.
• Draft clear, comprehensive financial statements, disclosures, and audit reports for management and business owners.
• Collaborate directly with clients to request documentation, clarify anomalies, and guide them smoothly through the audit process.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (eligible or working toward CPA is a plus).
• 3+ years of experience working specifically in external audit, assurance, or attestation services (public accounting background highly preferred).
• Strong preference for financial statement evaluation over tax preparation (this is not a tax preparation role).
• Must be local to Chester County, PA and able to work daily from our physical office.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and superb analytical skills.
