Job summary

Staples is seeking a Financial Analytics Intern in Framingham, MA, for an 11-week program from June 7, 2026 to August 20, 2026. You will support the team with data analysis, reporting, and process improvements, gaining hands-on exposure to financial data, tools, and analytics.

You will work with analysts and business partners to transform data into actionable insights, develop dashboards, and learn automation strategies within the Corporate Finance and related functions.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field.
• Must graduate in May 2028.
• Coursework or project experience in data analysis or financial modeling preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Team Summary:

The Business Automation and Optimization team partners across Staples Finance to drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights, analytics, and automation. We support functions such as Corporate Accounting, Supply Chain FP&A, Order to Cash, Collections, Accounts Payable, and Vendor Relations. Our team is cross-trained to promote collaboration, flexibility, and skill development.

Position Overview:

The Financial Analytics Intern will support the team by assisting in data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience with the financial data, tools, and technologies that drive business decisions and operational efficiency. The intern will work closely with analysts and business partners to learn how data is transformed into actionable insights.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in gathering and preparing data for reporting and analysis.

What's Needed - Basic Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field

• Proficiency in Excel; exposure to Tableau, Power BI, or SQL is a plus
