Job summary

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP is seeking a Director of Financial Reporting & Analysis in Denver to lead financial planning, reporting, and analytics for the firm. You will develop robust reporting frameworks, deliver insights, and partner with executive leadership to optimize performance.

The role requires 10–12 years in financial reporting and strong SQL, ERP, and BI skills, with a track record in professional services or legal finance.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years in financial reporting, accounting, or financial analysis, including leadership roles at professional services or legal firms.
• Expert SQL skills for 3E or Aderant with ability to manage stored procedures, views and tables.
• Strong financial modeling and data analytics, translating data into actionable insights for executives.
• Experience with ERP platforms, BI tools, and enterprise financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data preparation for reporting to the Compensation Committee.
• Drive profitability analysis by practice area and support strategic decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with insights for leadership.
• Enhance financial systems, reporting tools, and processes across offices.
• Communicate financial results and KPIs clearly to executives and practice leaders.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on cost analysis and project spending.
