Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Financial Analyst – US Engineering to support the Engineering Finance team with budgeting, labor reporting and month-end closes.

You will work with Program Administrators, Control Account Managers and engineers to ensure accurate labor data, prepare business reporting packs, and contribute to ad hoc analyses that drive cost effectiveness. This hybrid role offers growth potential.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business or Finance required.
• 2+ years of experience in Business or Finance.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with developing budgets and ad hoc projects to support the business in finance and/or cross-functional business process improvement teams
• Processing all project set up and maintenance requests accurately and timely
• Reconciling and resolving issues related to electronic work booking, time ticket rejects and SAP projects
• Ensuring compliance to labor reporting processes
• Organizing and analyzing large amounts of engineering labor data
• Creating data file for Research & Development (R&D) tax credit and coordinate vetting of data including interviews with engineers
• Preparing journal entries related to time keeping adjustments
• Assisting with month-end reporting
• Preparing weekly and monthly labor and operational cost reporting
• Preparing month end supply chain accruals
• Maintaining the duty to report tracker
• Preparing the monthly MPV and consumption reporting
• Performing other ad-hoc analysis as needed

Position Summary

As the Financial Analyst – US Engineering for Rolls‑Royce, you will be a member of the Engineering Finance team and an integral part in providing support to Program Administrators, Control Account Managers, and the larger Engineering organization. You will be the control point for the program charge number tool and processes surrounding accurate labor reporting and will assist in the preparation of business reporting packs with financial results.

Basic Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Business or Finance and 2+ years of experience in Business or Finance, OR Bachelor's in Business or Finance or Masters degree in Business or Finance
