Responsibilities

• Review fully executed subcontracts and amendments to understand budgets, payment terms, and special financial conditions.
• Monitor funding levels; identify potential over- or under-spending and elevate issues.
• Ensure financial setup (chargecodes, spend categories, billing terms) accurately reflects the subcontract agreement.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for all assigned subcontracts.
• Ideal candidate profile, including experience, skills, and team fit.
• Direct postaward experience with subcontracts or subawards, preferably in a university or academic medical center.
• Experience working with project leaders and central offices such as OSP, Grants & Contracts, or Research Finance.
• High attention to detail with the ability to spot inconsistencies, errors, or unusual spending patterns.
• Collaborative and service-oriented; enjoys partnering with Project Directors and OSP to find practical solutions.
