The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling and accounting knowledge with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-caliber finance professional who is eager to influence business decisions, improve processes, and work in a dynamic, cross‑functional environment.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning, Forecasting, and Reporting
  • Support the Senior Director of FP&A in the monthly financial close process, including reviewing actual results, identifying key drivers, and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly forecasts, as well as the annual operating budget.

  • Develop and update financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support business planning and decision‑making.

  • Assist in preparing monthly P&L statements and related management reporting for review by senior leadership.

  • Prepare and distribute monthly functional spending reports for R&D and SG&A departments.

  • Review spending results with department managers, explain key variances, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Provide value‑added variance analysis across actuals, budget, and forecast, including clear commentary on underlying business drivers.

  • Monitor departmental spending, headcount, and operating expense trends to support financial discipline and resource allocation.

Business Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted finance business partner to R&D and SG&A department managers.

  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlooks.

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to help department managers manage expenses and achieve business objectives.

  • Translate financial data into concise, understandable information for non‑finance stakeholders.

  • Build strong relationships across Finance and the broader organization to improve communication, accountability, and decision‑making.

  • Controls, Compliance, and Tax Support

  • Support J‑SOX compliance activities, including documentation, control testing, evidence gathering, and remediation efforts as needed.

  • Prepare financial information and supporting schedules for tax reporting and other statutory requirements.

  • Ensure financial analyses and reports are accurate, complete, timely, and aligned with company policies and accounting principles.

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen reporting processes, improve data quality, and enhance internal controls.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Support ad hoc financial analyses, management requests, and strategic projects.

  • Assist with process improvements, automation, and the enhancement of FP&A reporting tools.

  • Contribute to special projects and cross‑functional initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, management reporting, or a related role.

  • Experience supporting month‑end close, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting processes.

  • Strong understanding of P&L statements, operating expenses, variance analysis, and financial planning concepts.

  • Experience partnering with department managers and presenting financial information to non‑finance audiences.

  • Knowledge of internal controls and audit processes; experience with J‑SOX is preferred.

  • Experience preparing financial schedules or statements for tax reporting is a plus.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.

  • Experience with ERP, planning, and reporting systems such as [insert applicable systems, e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Power BI] is preferred.

  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent professional certification is a plus.

Key Competencies

  • Strong business partner who builds credibility and trust with stakeholders.

  • Clear and compelling communicator with strong presentation and storytelling skills.

  • Highly detail‑oriented while maintaining the ability to understand the broader business context.

  • Proactive and solutions‑oriented, with a demonstrated ability to identify issues and recommend improvements.

  • Organized and results‑driven, able to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines.

  • Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

  • High integrity and sound judgment, particularly when handling confidential financial information.
