The Department of Administrative & Financial Services is an innovative organization that coordinates central services for Maine State Government agencies. The Natural Resources Service Center provides financial, budgetary, human resources, and employee relations services to four natural resource agencies and Baxter State Park. This position offers budgetary and financial analysis support to these agencies.

Job Description

As a Financial Analyst at the Department of Administrative and Financial Services, you will analyze departmental finances in depth and provide ongoing support. You will collaborate with the Service Center Director, Financial Analysts, agency management, and the Bureau of the Budget. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and a strong financial background. The position is located in Augusta.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates should have advanced education, training, or experience in Financial Management, along with two years of responsible experience in cost, cost/benefit, and financial analysis. Experience may substitute for education if it demonstrates understanding and application of GAAP and GASB standards.

Preference will be given to those with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
