Job summary

Unum is seeking a Financial Analyst to support Net Investment Income within its Finance organization. The role involves intermediate-level financial analysis, accounting responsibilities, and contributing to the monthly/quarterly financial cycle.

You will reconcile accounts, produce complex analytics, and collaborate with business areas to ground decisions. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and up to three years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Zero to three years of comparable experience.
• Basic understanding of the components of multiple financial statements and how they interact.
• Proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
• Exhibit customer service skills and teamwork when collaborating with the broader team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in regular monthly/quarterly financial cycle.
• Prepare, verify, reconcile, and balance accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare more complex financial analyses for designated areas and routine reports for management.
• Maintain systems and data assets supporting financial analysis and reporting.
• Partner with business areas to provide required analysis and data.
