Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. offers Software Development Interns within the Cox family of businesses with a focus on accounting and finance functions.

This internship provides exposure to financial analysis, budgeting support, and collaboration with senior leaders on special projects. Candidates are undergraduate or graduate students in accounting or finance, with strong MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Upper-level undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled in an Accounting or Finance program.
• Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial tools.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams.
• Ability to balance multiple, changing priorities in an organized manner and share progress updates.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and check financial documents to ensure accuracy.
• Perform research for finance, accounting, and internal controls governance teams.
• Provide administrative support as needed.
• Assist with the analysis of month-end results, forecasts, and budgets to better inform business decisions.
• Interfaces with other department members and may help lead special projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Intern/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.

USD 22.02 - 33.08 per hour

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $22.02 - $33.08/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
